Project - Rotary Screw Trap - Juvenile enumeration
1. Project Outline
Once the pink eggs have turned to fry at our hatchery and before they are released into the Tsolum River (approximately the end of March) we will be launching the rotary trap for another season.
Volunteers are needed to form daily teams to visit the trap, count and identify the fish trapped and then release them back into the river.
Full training occrs on the job and all equipment is supplied. Depending on Team needs we meet each morning around 8:00 - 9:00 AM and often all is done in less than a half hour.
