Thanks to summer students
Kylie Adebar and Aleena Oates

With funding from Canada Summer jobs we hired two post secondary graduates for summer 2021 and 2022.  Kylie Adebar (left) recently graduated from UBC Okanagan with a B.Sc., and just completed here Masters in Saskatchewan.  Aleena Oates (right) recently graduated from UVIC with a B.Sc. and completed an  Advanced GIS diploma at BCIT.  We were thrilled to have them with us and wish them luck with future endeavors.

Caroline Heim
Program Coordinator

Caroline has been with TRRS since 2016, and divides her time between outreach and education,  planning and implementing restoration projects, grant writing, and overseeing annual fish monitoring projects.  Caroline's background is fisheries biology, and she also worked as an independent fisheries consultant  since 1995.  Happiest when on her bicycle or wading in any water with the fishes.

Katie Gair
Program Coordinator

Katie started with TRRS in February of 2023 and is currently learning the ins and outs of the various projects and events the organization runs and participates in. She is very excited to have the opportunity to make an impact and new connections in  the Tsolum watershed through restoration, monitoring and helping with outreach.  Katie's background is fisheries biology, having worked in private and government sectors. She graduated from UVic with a B.Sc. in Marine Biology. When not on the river, she can be found at home painting or baking, or out on a trail.
Welcome to our new Outreach and Administrative Manager, Mary Maclean.  Bio and pic coming soon!

We respectfully acknowledge that the Tsolum Watershed that we cherish and protect flows through
the unceded traditional territory of the K'omoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of this place
