Volunteer

A fantastic circle of volunteers makes our work possible; volunteers are the reason our projects, events, and yearly activities are so successful. There are seasonal volunteer positions for both outdoor and office activities.

April and May are the months when volunteers count and identify the out-migrating salmon fry that swim into the Rotary Screw Trap. We appreciate the help of volunteers who assist with our year round public displays at community events, and community/school education trips. In the summer we require support with our major restoration or assessment projects, and with our yearly Fry Salvage activities. In the fall we need help with adult pink salmon counting.

If you wish to get involved by volunteering, please contact us or fill out the Volunteer form at the bottom of this page. Please consider becoming a member by filling our the  Membership form.

Please note that if you are a paid member, then you are covered by our insurance if you volunteer in the field!

We respectfully acknowledge that the Tsolum Watershed that we cherish and protect flows through
the unceded traditional territory of the K'omoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of this place
